Course Information:
This course is aimed at unemployed individuals to allow them to gain competence and qualifications in the Telecommunications Industry. This is a hands-on, practical-based course which is combined with theory to prepare the individual for employment within the Industry. We also include CV and Interview preparation and guidance prior to a guaranteed interview for employment.
How will you be assessed and what will you achieve?
You will be assessed through a range of practical activities and through the completion of seven online workbooks. Upon completion of the course, you will achieve the following:
- 101 – Health and Safety in ICT
- 202 – Develop Own Effectiveness and Professionalism
- 206 – Technical Fault Diagnosis
- 207 – Working with ICT, Hardware and Equipment
- 220 – ICT System Operation
- 222 – Testing ICT Systems
- 227 – Using Email
- In-House Air Blown Fibre Awareness
- In-House Rodding and Roping Training
- In-House English and Maths Upskill
- In-House Mandatory Training
Successful learners may have the opportunity to take part in a further week’s training to complete Openreach accreditations, subject to funding.
